Bruxism, also known as teeth grinding, is a very common problem. We can put tremendous amounts of forces on our teeth when we are sleeping. This can cause severe tooth wear, fractures, and TMJ issues. A nightguard is an appliance that fits over your teeth and acts like a cushion to help protect your teeth and better distribute all those heavy forces. This also helps your muscles and TMJ with soreness. Using our digital impressions we are able to send your scan directly to the lab, quickly and efficiently, without the use of goopy impression material! Bonus: if you lose your nightguard, it’s very easy to have another one made since we have a copy of the digital scan.
